Mrs. Knott's is the source code: Cordelia Knott started serving fried chicken here in 1927, the queues grew so long that Walter Knott built a ghost town to entertain them, and the first American theme park grew from that. The restaurant still serves the chicken dinner that started it, just outside the main gate in the California Marketplace.
