Shock Wave
42"107cmThe 1978 Schwarzkopf double-loop classic — the first coaster with back-to-back vertical loops, still running them at 42 inches.
Shock Wave is the park's resident monument: when it opened in 1978, its two consecutive vertical loops were a world first, and the ride is often credited as the machine that launched the modern coaster wars. Nearly fifty years later, both loops still deliver, and the 42-inch minimum makes it one of the lowest height bars for a genuine multi-looping coaster anywhere.
Tips for Shock Wave
- The morning lull makes multi-rides trivial — loop it while the crowds are at Titan.
- Ride front for the loop visibility; the classic trains have no headrests, so hold your head steady.
- The mid-course block brakes hit hard on older cycles — lean forward slightly through the second loop approach.
