Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast
54"137cmThe twin-track launched shuttle that fires you up a 218-foot vertical spike and back through the course backwards — the park's most violent thirty seconds.
Mr. Freeze opened in 1998 as the park's flagship launch coaster: linear-motor catapult to 70 miles per hour, up a 218-foot vertical tower where the train balances, then the whole course again in reverse. The 'Reverse Blast' conversion flipped the trains to launch backwards, which is how it runs today.
Tips for Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast
- Launch happens fast — head back against the rest before the countdown ends.
- The backwards top hat is the moment; eyes open, you will want to have seen it.
- Both sides of the dual station run the same ride; take whichever queue is shorter.
